VICKY King has appealed to thieves to return a stolen laptop computer containing rare and precious images of her family.

The break-in happened sometime during last Wednesday night or Thursday morning at the Baan Baan St, Dapto, office of Mrs King's business, Bosco Accounting.

Mrs King said the thieves forced the windows open, reached in and stole a laptop computer from her briefcase.

The laptop had the only photos of Mrs King's mother, Pat Peters, taken this year before she died of cancer in June at the age of 72.

It also had photos taken by Mrs King's daughter, Hannah, for her Year 10 photography project. "They were the only copies," Mrs King said.

Mrs King is now hoping the thieves will find it in their hearts to return the computer.

"It means a lot to both Hannah and to my family."

It is the fourth time the office has been targeted by burglars this year and the company has spent $5000 upgrading security.

Anyone with information on the laptop can contact Bosco Accounting on 4261 4077 or Lake Illawarra police.
